Man Vs. Himself

In the story The Necklace, the main character borrows a necklace from a rich friend so that she can look fancy at the ball. while ont he way home, she loses it and starts panicing. They cannot find it after 7 days and they finnaly give up. She buys a new one for 36,000 francs. To them, this a lot of money. They buy it and go in 10 years of debt. They must fight against themselves in oder to make the right decision of whats right and wrong. They tear themselves apart. After the debt is paid off, they finally get to the point at which they can relax. The main character meets her rich friend in the park after ten years and she finds out, the necklace was onyl paste. It was worth no more than 500 francs. This is what makes it Man Vs. Himself.
